Maybe your "boat" isn't a sailboat. Maybe it's the creative project you've been postponing, the business idea that terrifies you, the life change that everyone says is "too risky."

But here's what I've learned from 'Akiya': The risk isn't in saying yes to the thing that scares you. The risk is in saying no and spending the rest of your life wondering "what if?"

These aren't polished sailing tutorials. They're raw, honest glimpses into what happens when you choose passion over comfort, adventure over safety, and presence over perfection.

I've captured these "Interesting Experiences" using an iPhone or drone throughout my time on the water. Ibrahim is skilled at compiling clips, adding music, and using special effects to create short pieces for social media sharing. I prefer Final Cut Pro, but often post raw cuts to share these spontaneous moments—because authenticity beats production value every single time.

About Our Travel Videos

Back in 2018, I was thrilled to shoot using a GoPro.

I used a Lavalier Mic, but it was a bit of a hassle having to sync the sound card and deal with the setup. However, the excitement of the shooting experience overshadowed these minor inconveniences.

Today, I’d opt for the convenience and flexibility of a https://www.dji.com/ca/mic wireless mic, which would have made my 2018 shoot much smoother.

In 2024, I demonstrated the adaptability of our work by shortening the clip from two minutes to fit our ’60-second Daily Joy Reel’ format.

I also crafted a new ‘IbraDan Creative’ 4-second ‘Outro Bumper’ at the end to match our new branding, showing how we can evolve and stay relevant with our branding.
